Prof. Yoram Shiftan is a Professor at the Technion and heads the Israel Smart Transportation Center. He serves as a key expert for the Ministry of Transport in evaluating the economic viability of smart transportation projects and was the academic advisor for the Israeli guideline for evaluating transportation projects (Nohal PRAT). Prof. Shiftan has extensive international experience consulting on mega-infrastructure projects, having developed travel demand models for the New York Second Avenue Subway, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Additionally, he served as President of the Israel Association for Transportation Research, Chair of the International Association for Travel Behaviour Research (IATBR), and Editor of the Transport Policy journal.
